Morristown Patch has reported that “Masaharu Morimoto, world-renowned chef and restaurateur, is opening a second ‘MM by Morimoto’ location in Morristown.”

The website notes that the Japanese restaurant will be located within the historic Vail Mansion, found at 110 South Street in Morristown.

The project is being spearheaded by Morimoto himself as well as Montclair Hospitality Group, which helped launch the restaurant’s first location in Montclair.

“Our goal with MM by Morimoto at Vail Mansion is to create something truly extraordinary, a destination that brings global culinary excellence to one of New Jersey’s most storied landmarks,” said Luck Sarabhayavanija, founder of Montclair Hospitality Group. “Together with Chef Morimoto, we’re honoring the legacy of Vail Mansion while reimagining what fine dining can be in this region.”
