19th Annual Read Feed Run Turkey Trot Set for Thanksgiving Morning in Morris Township

As posted by tapinto.net, the the 19th Annual Read Feed Run Turkey Trot returns to the Ginty Field Complex, 50 Woodland Avenue on Thanksgiving morning.

The event begins at 8:30 a.m. and features a 5K run, 1-mile fun run/walk, and a Kids Trot, with proceeds benefiting the Interfaith Food Pantry Network and Literacy Volunteers of Morris County.

According to organizers, the Literacy Volunteers of Morris County helps over 600 individuals with students coming from over 50 countries. The Interfaith Food Pantry network distributed over 2.4 million pounds of food which equals 2.1 million meals for Morris County residents in need. 

Organizers say the holiday tradition blends fitness and philanthropy, giving families and friends a way to kick off the day while supporting local hunger relief and adult literacy services. 

Participants are encouraged to register early; those who sign up by Tuesday, Nov. 11 are guaranteed a tech T-shirt in their selected size. Registration and additional details are available at readfeedrun.org
