Morris Township, NJ, park dedicated to philanthropist Marguerite ‘Marge’ Goryeb

Over the past decade, the Goryeb family name has become synonymous with children in Morris County — prominently displayed at the center for pediatric care at Morristown Memorial Hospital. The area, known as the Wheatsheaf section of the township, is marked by a small children’s park, which Marge Goryeb frequently visited over the 16 years the family lived in the neighborhood. On Saturday morning, the Morris township-owned park was officially renamed and dedicated in honor of the family matriarch. Marge Goryeb died on Jan. 11 at 79, shortly after she was diagnosed with acute leukemia.
