Eric Hafen, artistic director of The Bickford Theatre, has announced the lineup for its next main-stage season, which also marks the 10-year anniversary of Hafen taking over the professional theater company in residence at the Morris Museum.
The 2011-12 season will open Sept. 22 with the New Jersey premiere of “The Last Days of Mickey and Jean,” a new comedy by Richard Dresser (“Rounding Third”). John Pietrowski, artistic director of Playwrights Theatre in Madison, is directing this coproduction with the Old Castle Theatre of Bennington, Vt. Performances continue through Oct. 9.
The Bickford’s 17th season continues Nov. 17 to Dec. 4 with Hafen directing “Over the River and Through the Woods,” a family comedy by Joe DiPietro, whose “I Love you, You’re Perfect, Now Change” was a big hit here a few seasons back.
