Run the Third Annual Colonial Challenge 5K

Calling All Colonial Challengers! The countdown has officially begun.

There are 8 calendar days remaining until the gun goes off at the Third Annual Colonial Challenge 5K Event at 10 a.m. on Sun. Oct. 23rd. The Morris Educational Foundation invites you, your family members – young and old, colleagues, neighbors, and the like, to come out and show your support for the Morris Educational Foundation at this year’s race.

Our event last year turned out tremendous results, and we’re hoping to top our numbers this year! Every single registration puts valuable grant money back into our children’s school district, providing valuable educational opportunities.

To register go to www.practicehard.com, click on “Event Calendar” and register yourself for the race. Remember to sign up early to guarantee yourself a Colonial Challenge T-Shirt.

Whether you’re sprinting, walking, running, strolling or jogging, there’s something for everyone. There’s even a 1-Mile Kids’ Race. Consider joining or even starting a race team: pull together a few fellow participants, give yourselves a fun name, and tackle the Challenge together. You can even consider training together.

There’s still plenty of time, even if you’ve never done a race event before. Follow this link to create a one-month training schedule for yourself.

But wait, there’s more! To further your fitness fun, look for an opportunity, before or after your race, to have your golf swing professionally analyzed by Frelinghuysen Middle School’s own Bruce Chamberlain. A modest per-minute suggested donation of $1 will guarantee you golf practice swinging, swing-analysis and tips for improving your game. Great for kids starting out their game.

See you there… Rain or Shine!
