Medicinal Plants of the Civil War Exhibit and Cell Phone Tour

Tour the garden and listen to “lessons” on 21 plants that were used by Confederate and Union troops. Inspired by a collection of books called medical botanies in The Frelinghuysen Arboretum’s library, this tour focuses on the plants used medicinally during the period surrounding the Civil War, especially plants used in field hospitals, home surgeries, and on the battlefields.  For more information, please call 973-326-7601.
