Celebrate the 4th of July at Revolutionary Times

ImageCome celebrate the 4th this year at one of the historical sites that played a role in the birth of our country! Morristown National Historical Park has moved their annual Revolutionary Times event to the 4th of July this year so families from all over can come enjoy the day together. There will be family-fun crafts, games, music and activities throughout the day and a special reading of the Declaration of Independence on the historic Morristown Green at noon. These Independence Day festivities also mark the 80th Anniversary of the Morristown National Historical Park as the first National Park in the country! As the day ends make your way to Sunrise Lake Beach at Lewis Morris County Park for a dazzling firework display put on by the Town of Morristown at 7 p.m. All events are free to the public and a shuttle service will be offered from distant parking lots to Sunrise Lake Beach. For more information call 973-539-2016 x210 or visit the Revolutionary Times page for a full schedule of the days events.
