Well, that’s because Morristown is home to the oldest existing guide dog school in the world. The Seeing Eye, Inc., began operation in 1929 and today matches students from all over the United States and Canada with dogs to encourage mobility and independence for the visually impaired. Jim Kessler is an instructor for The Seeing Eye, Inc., and raises and trains the dogs for four months before they are ready to be match with a student. We think it’s great that Morristown is home to an organization that helps so many visually impaired people. You can read the full interview with Jim Kessler here.
