Arts Council of Morris Area Wins $7G Grant

The Arts Council of the Morris Area has received a $7,000 grant from Bank of America for general operating support.

Anna Katherine Harris, senior vice president and consumer market executive of Bank of America, stopped by the Arts Council’s offices and gallery at 14 Maple Ave., Morristown, to deliver the check.

“The Bank of America Charitable Foundation Inc. is dedicated to providing opportunity for all in its commitment to our communities,’’ Harris said.

“Providing support to organizations like the Arts Council of the Morris Area — which provides opportunity and improves the quality of life in our communities — is key to the bank’s strategy to build capacities that truly make a difference.”

The mission

The Arts Council of the Morris Area is dedicated to bringing the arts to the center of community life.

Using the arts to inspire, connect and engage, the Arts Council serves as a resource for the arts in Morris County with a special focus on arts programming in the schools and in the community, arts advocacy, and support of artists and arts organizations.
