Fire Department Seeking Toys for Tots Donations

The Morristown Fire Department is proud to support the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program for its fourth consecutive year. New, unwrapped toys can be delivered to the Morristown Fire Station now through December. These toys will be distributed as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community. A toy donation box will also be available at the Morristown Partnership’s Christmas Festival at the Morristown Green during event hours.

“We would like to thank the following Morristown businesses for supporting our promotional efforts: A&P, Chase Bank, Grasshopper Off the Green, Headquarters Plaza, Hennessey’s Washington Bar, Kings, London World Connection Salon, Longfellow’s Deli, Morristown Deli and The UPS Store,” said Nick Prizzi, Morristown Firefighter and donation coordinator. “We hope this program is a continued success and are excited to launch the ‘Name A Toy’ event on Friday, Nov. 25 at Santa’s Arrival and the Lighting of the Morristown Green.”

Name A Toy – Special Event

Join members of the Morristown Fire Department the magical night of Santa’s Arrival & the Lighting of the Morristown Green Friday, Nov. 25. They will be hosting a plush toy display from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve; for one dollar ($1) you and your children can name a stuffed toy for a child in need. Each toy, with hand written nametags around them, will be placed into a giant gift-wrapped box with a bow. These toys will be donated to the Toys for Tots Program and all proceeds raised going to the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation. “The Morristown Partnership is happy to support the efforts of the Morristown Fire Department and the Toys for Toys Program,” added Jennifer Wehring, director of marketing, Morristown Partnership. “They do so much for us; especially helping Santa down from Century 21 Department Store the night of the Lighting of the Morristown Green!”
