The Hampshire Companies, a real estate investment firm, announced Wednesday that PetSmart, a specialty pet supply retailer, has leased 7,200 square feet of space at the Veterans Square Town Center located in Lyndhurst.
The 144,000-square-foot retail center — which boasts a variety of tenants, including a Shop Rite Supermarket, HomeGoods, GNC and more — is located on New York Avenue. It currently has about 10,000 square feet of space remaining unoccupied.
“Veterans Square is one of the strongest and most consistent retail properties in our portfolio, but this new lease shows Hampshire’s continued commitment to our tenants and our investors,” Ray Ayers, an investment manager for Morristown-based Hampshire. “This long-term lease with PetSmart continues to build on a diverse and established list of tenants that ensures the Veterans Square Town Center will remain a highly active and attractive destination for shoppers in Bergen County.”
Crossroads Company brokered the deal, represented Hampshire in the transaction and manages the retail center. Metro Commercial Real Estate represented PetSmart.
