The goal is to bring people together for a fun day filled with education, recreation, and service. This event strives to be a collaborative effort, “crowd sourced”, where the feed back from those coming determine the activities/programming provided.

Some ideas for activities include:
feeding the resident farm animals, planting tree seedlings, picking up sticks for a campfire, spreading wood chips and compost, learning about gardening and farming, drone flying, kite flying, yoga, music, water slide, obstacle course, scavenger hunt, food truck, byob picnic, hay rides, and other ideas you guys come up with.

Please reach out if you have knowledge that you would be willing to share or resources that could enhance this event. Only together can we make this happen.

Colgate-Palmolive campus set for redevelopment

via NJBiz.com – After more than 60 years, the former Morris Township/Morristown site of the Colgate-Palmolive company will make way for mixed-use redevelopment.

Whippany-based JMF Properties acquired the property and plans both residential and retail uses for the 64-acre site, including a 150,000-square-foot shopping center, 143 townhomes and 60 rental units.

The majority of the development will be located in Morris Township, with an additional phase situated in Morristown.

“As the owner of a very large parcel with potential impact on multiple towns, Colgate-Palmolive required a developer with extensive knowledge of the municipalities affected by the development,” Colgate-Palmolive Global Facilities Vice President Robert Dietz said. “Additionally, it was critical to identify a developer with experience in building residential and commercial real estate, and one that had a thorough understanding of the redevelopment process.”

JMF has razed all the existing buildings on the property and hopes to break ground this spring. FULL ARTICLE
