Wondering what to do for Memorial Day? The Daily Record has a list of town-by-town events. Specifically in Morris town:
“From 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., members of the Memorial and Veterans Day Association of Morristown and Morris Twp. will place wreaths, play taps, and fire a salute at three cemeteries: Holy Rood in Morris Twp., Beth Israel in Cedar Knolls and Evergreen in Morristown. At 9:30 a.m., there will be the raising and lowering of the flag at the township municipal building, 50 Woodland Ave., and the dedication of a memorial stone to Pat Hyland, former mayor and freeholder, and then the parade begins to form at about 10:30 a.m. before heading up Woodland to South Street to the Green, where another service is held at about 11 a.m.”
