Doug Clark, 42, of Morristown, N.J., finished the 1.5Km (0.9-mile) swim in 21 minutes and three seconds. He finished the 40Km (24.8-mile) bike in 1:01:19. And he completed the 11Km (6.8-mile) run in 40:52, finishing with a total time of 2:04:38. Clark said the hardest park of the triathlon was the bike. It was extremely wet and there was heavy rain off and on. Clark also said he had mechanical issues because his seat dropped an inch and a half causing him to stand on the pedals more than usual. Clark’s next goal is to defend his age group championship at the Hawaiian Ironman on Oct. 9. You can read more about the race here.
